• The full Diploma course in Domestic Energy Assessment (DipDEA) qualification will prove that you have the knowledge and training to fully satisfy regulatory standards required to compatently carry out the full Domestic Energy Assessment. This assessment is a requirement for those property owners who are looking to rent or sell their property. Every home now requires an an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) containing advice on how to cut carbon emissions and fuel bills. Only qualified Domestic Energy Assessors are able to produce the Energy Performance Certificate component of a HIP. Once you've undergone your DEA training and qualified, your role as a DEA will be varied, as you inspect and measure homes, gathering information to collate into Energy Performance Certificates for a wide range of residential properties. Upon successful completion of this qualification you can use the letters “DipDEA” after your name.

It also includes the opportunity to assess real homes under the guidance of our trainers. Candidates must also assemble a Portfolio of Evidence of their competence, including EPCs for five real homes. Each candidate is assigned to a Qualification Assessor to guide them through this process. The Qualification Assessor formally assesses the Portfolio to verify that the candidate meets the requirements of the National Occupational Standards for a DEA.
